I wouldn't consider myself to be the typical "country girl"..but I can't help but to appreciate the beauty of nature. Today, I set out to explore one of the swamps located in Mississippi. One thing that is a known fact to local Mississippians is that the weather is completely unpredictable! Right when I got to this beautiful location to shoot, it started POURING raining out of nowhere! I started to get discouraged and thought I wouldn't be able to capture the beauty of the swamp, but decided to stick it out...10 minutes later, the rain stopped, and I was able to complete the shoot, thankfully. Right after, my photographer Imani Khayyam as able to capture this beautiful sight of the swamp....
I've always enjoyed the beauty of swamps, the trees, moss, and open water. It is the perfect backdrop set with rich history.
